Pantry creamy spinach pasta

Submitted by: AK_JEWEL829

Introduction

This is a recipe that I made like many others that is made out of what I had in the house already. This makes quite a large batch, and I live by myself so I freeze the other portions to microwave later. The only other thing to note is that becasue of all the fresh spinach in the pasta, it turns the cheesey cream sauce a little green. Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Pasta-roni's Four Cheese Corkscrew Pasta
    (requires 1.5 C water and .5 C milk
    Pasta-roni's Creamy Parmasian Pasta)
    (requires 1.5 C water and .5 C milk)
10 cups of fresh spinach (2 large bags)
    4 cups frozen corn
    4 Tbs Galic
    2 TbsSalt
    4 Tbs Black Pepper

Directions

1. Take the spinach from the bag and wash if desired. Then rip or cut the spinach leaves down into smaller pieces.
2. Put the spinach into a large pot. If you chose not to wash the leafs then .25C of water may be needed to help the spinach start the wilting / cookin process. Cover and let the spinach cook over medium heat for about 2 minute.
3. Stir the spinach and add the garlic, salt and pepper.
4. Add into the pot the water and milk needed to cook the pasta in. Add the corn, pasta, and sauce packets into the pot and stir well. Turn the heat up and bring the contents of the pot up to a boil.
5. Let the past boil uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is tender and most of the water has evaporated.
6. Turn the heat off and let the pasta sauce thicken and cool.

Serving size is about 1.5C
