Introduction

These delicious beans take only minutes to prepare and can be used several different ways. You can use pintos or black beans, or a mixture of the two is also good. Ingredients

    1 16 oz can pinto beans
    1 C prepared favorite salsa
    1 C red wine or strong beer
    1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
    1 Tbs fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Directions

In a small sauce pan over medium-high heat, bring all ingredients to a slow boil. Turn heat down to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has reduced to a nice, flavorful sauce.

Serve alone, with chips, or over rice. Experiment with the beer and wine to see which way is your favorite---I like them both!
