Low(er) Fat Hummus

Introduction

This is a variation on a traditional Hummus recipe that uses less Tahini and less olive oil. This is a variation on a traditional Hummus recipe that uses less Tahini and less olive oil.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 15oz can of Chick Peas ( I used Kroger Brand Chick Peas
    1 TBSP Organic Tahini ( I used Arrowhead Mills Organic Sesame Tahini)
    The juice of one fresh lemon (approximately 2 TBSP)
    2 TBSP Olive Oil
    2 cloves of garlic
    2 tsp salt (or to taste)
    1 tsp black pepper (or to taste)

Directions

Using a food processor, blend all ingredients together to make a thick paste.

The yield is 1.5 cup of hummus (24 TBSP).
This makes 12 servings of 2 TBSP each.
