Introduction

Grandma's Lentils - eat as a soup or server over macaroni for a hearty and warm dish. Grandma's Lentils - eat as a soup or server over macaroni for a hearty and warm dish.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 package (16 oz.) Lentils (dry)
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 celery stalks, chopped
    1 cup carrots, sliced
    8 cups water
    Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions

Sautee Garlic, onions and celery in oil in large pot until tender. Add lentils, carrots and water. Salt & pepper to taste. Bring to boil then simmer for 2 hours.

If preferred, add more water to make a thinner soup.
