Easy and healthy whole wheat pizza with mushroom, red pepper, tomoato, and cheese.
1 Mama Mary's Whole Wheat Crust
3/4-1 Cup Ragu Pizza Sauce-Homemade Style
3/4 Cup (1 small jar) sliced mushrooms (drained)
1/2 small tomato diced
1/2 red pepper diced
1/2 C Sargento Mexican Blend 4 Cheese reduced fat
Season as you like
Prepare the crust according to the directions (brush crust lightly with Olive oil, preheat oven to 450)
Spread the pizza sauce on the crust
Drain the mushrooms and place on the sauce
Sprinkle the tomato and red pepper on the pizza
Sprinkle cheese on the top of the pizza.
Lower the temperature on the oven to 425 degrees (according to the crust pkg instructions) place the pizza on a baking stone, or directly on the rack in your oven, and bake for 8-10 minutes. I raised the temperature to broil for another 1-2 minutes for crispier crust. When the cheese is melted, remove, cut, and enjoy!
You could add garlic, spinach, any other healthy veggies to this recipe too.
