Introduction

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    3 quarts chicken or beef stock
    4 cups chopped cabbage
    1 large carrot grated
    1 medium onion chopped
    1 bunch fresh parsley
    1 bunch fresh dill
    1 bay leaf
    1 19 oz. can of chopped tomatoes
    1 tin tomato soup
    3 cups cubed chicken or beef
    3 cups potatoes cubed


Directions

Mix all ingredients except potatoes in a large stock pot and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Add potato cubes and simmer until potatoes are tender.

Mennonites would add cream to soup when it is served. However we enjoy it just the way it is.
