Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2 cups dry textured soy protein granules
    1 3/4 cups no-beef stock
    1 med yellow onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 cup wheat or soy flour
    1/2T soy sauce
    1/2 t black pepper
    1 t oregano
    1 t chili powder
    1 t garlic powder
    1 t onion powder

Directions

Pour boiling broth over dry granules, cover and let sit for 10 minutes.

In a skillet, saute the onions and garlic in sprayed pan until translucent and fragrant. About 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat mix in the flour, soy sauce and all of the spices. Let sit until cool enough to handle.

With your hands, press firmly to form balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Place on cookie sheet and broil 5 minutes,turn over and broil 5 more minutes. Drop temperature to 300* and continue cooking for 30 minutes or until done.

These freeze well and are awesome in sauces.
