1/4 cup basmati rice 4 cups nonfat milk 1 cup 0 calorie sweetner (Z brand from Whole Foods) 1 tsp ghee (clarified butter) 1/4 cup raw slivered almonds & cashews
Chop almonds and cashews and set aside. In a crock pot mix the milk, rice & sugar and let it cook for 8 hrs on low heat. When the milk has reduced to half its volume (or as thick as you like) it is ready to serve. In a pan heat the ghee and add the slivered almonds & cashew. Lightly toast and toss into the kheer.
