Introduction

This recipe is modified from the cracker recipe in "The World's Oldest Health Plan". These are really yummy spread with spicy mustard or hummus! This recipe is modified from the cracker recipe in "The World's Oldest Health Plan". These are really yummy spread with spicy mustard or hummus!
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or other whole-grain flour)
    1/2 cup rolled oats or sesame seeds
    1 1/2 tsp sea salt
    1/2 cup olive oil
    1 cup plus 2 tbsp water

Directions

In a food processor, combine first four ingredients. Mix water and oil together in another bowl, then stream into running processor until dough forms a ball and sticks together when pressed.
Roll out to no thicker than 1/8" and sprinkle with salt, seeds, or desired seasoning (optional) - roll rolling pin over sprinkled items to secure them. Dock well with a fork and then cut with a 1-1/2" round cookie cutter (available everywhere!).
Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 15-25 minutes, until crisp and slightly browned underneath. Move to a cooling rack and then store in bags or airtight containers.

Recipe makes about 200 crackers when using specified size cutter. Serving is 10 crackers.
