Grandma Susies Filled Cookies

Ingredients


    FILLING
    1 box seedless raisins
    1 cup walnuts
    1 cup dates
    1 1/2 cup water
    1 cup brown sugar
    3 T flour


    DOUGH
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 cup butter
    1 1/2 cup brown sugar
    2 t baking soda
    2 T vanilla
    flour enough to make a soft dough

Directions

FILLING
First grind raisins then dates then walnuts
Put in a pot with brown sugar, water and flour
Cook until thick, 10-15 minutes, let cool

DOUGH
Put softened butter in dish
Sift in brown sugar
cream together, then slowly add eggs
Add flour and soda little by little until you have a soft dough

Roll out dough and cut cookies using round cutter 2 - 2 1/2 inches in diameter
Bake cookies at 350 for 10-15 minutes

After cookies cool, fill them
