Wheat Taco Pizza

Ingredients

    1 Trader Joe's Wheat Pizza Dough
    1 lb. extra lean ground turkey
    3/4 c. water
    1 envelope reduced sodium taco seasoning
    1 16oz. can fat free refried beans
    1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded low fat pizza cheese blend
    3 medium tomatoes, chopped
    7 cups shredded lettuce

Directions

For crust - follow package instructions to spread into 15x10 pan. Bake at 425 for 8 - 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook turkey over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in water and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir in refried beans until blended.

Spread turkey mixture over crust; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 425 for 5 - 7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with tomatoes and lettuce. Serve immediately.

Original recipe calls for 2 c. baked tortilla chips to be crumbled over the top when done, but I have omitted to save calories and sodium and it was great!
