Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

    16 cups Shredded Cabbage
    1 T Salt
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 cup green peppers, chopped
    1 cup celery, chopped
    1 1/2 cups white sugar
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    3/4 cup white vinegar

Directions

Put shredded cabbage in a dish and spread out flat. Salt. Let sit for one hour. Add onion, peppers and celery, and stir. In medium saucepan, bring sugar, oil and vinegar to a boil. Pour over cabbage mixture. Refrigerate. Once cold, stir well.
