Pizza Crust, HomemadeYeast Dough

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Salt, 2 tbsp (remove)
    Shortening, 0.50 cup (remove)
    Granulated Sugar, 2 tsp (remove)
    Yellow Cornmeal, 0.50 cup (remove)
    Flour, white, 3 cup (remove)
    Extra Light Olive Oil, 3 tbsp (remove)
    Yeast, 1.5 pkgs., 1 serving (remove)
    Water, 1 cup (remove)

Directions

Combine yeast, shortening, and water. Heat in microwave until shortening melts.

Combine flour, yellow cornmeal, sugar, and salt. Mix and pour into water/shortening/yeast mixture. Knead until dough is soft/firm.

Use olive oil to spread dough into pizza pan (either thick or thin crust pans). Puncture dough with fork. Pre-bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Add desired ingredients and bake an additional 25-30 minutes.
