Southern Living Simple Meatload

Introduction

Ground chuck offers lots of flavour and is less expensive, but lean ground beef has less fat Ground chuck offers lots of flavour and is less expensive, but lean ground beef has less fat
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef (85%)
    3/4 c quick-cooking oats
    3/4 c milk
    1/4 c chopped onion
    1/4 c grated potato
    1/2c grated carrot
    1/4 c chopped celery
    1 large egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1/3 c ketchup (or favourite bbq sauce etc)
    2 tblsp brown sugar
    1 tblsp yellow mustard

Directions

Combine and blend all ingredients etc ketchup, brown sugar, mustard. Stir together remaining ingredients and pour evenly over meatloaf. Bake at 350F for 1 hr. Remove and let stand for 5 mintues before slicing
