Chicken and pasta in tomato sauce

Introduction

Not too many ingredients--but a healthy, delicious meal! Not too many ingredients--but a healthy, delicious meal!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    One 8 oz can of tomato sauce
    4 cups of water
    1 tbsp garlic powder
    1 tbsp onion powder
    2 tbsp taco seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1 cup of uncooked whole grain elbow macaroni (or any pasta of your choosing)
    4 cans (15 oz. size) of green beans
    4 fully cooked chicken breasts


Directions

Place 4 cups of water, 1 small 8 oz. can of tomato sauce, and spices into a large pot. Place pot on top of stove. Cover and cook over medium/high heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove cover and add the 1 cup of uncooked whole grain pasta. Let cook, covered, (stir occasionaly) until mixture again come to boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes or until pasta is soft. After pasta is soft, add the 4 (15 oz.).cans of green beans to the pot. Shred the 4 cooked chicken breasts and add to the pot. Let simmer for 15 more minutes or until chicken and green beans are heated through. Makes approx. 12 one cup servings. Enjoy!
