White Chili

Introduction

This is my family's version of white chili or chicken chili. This is my family's version of white chili or chicken chili.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb boneless/skinless chicken breast cooked and cut into bite size pieces
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 cup onion chopped
    jalapeño pepper to taste (we use 5 pickled rings)
    1 tsp. diced garlic
    32 oz Chicken Broth
    41.5 oz can Great Northern Beans drained
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp white pepper


Directions

chop onion, jalapeño, and garlic in food processor.
Heat 1 tsp olive oil in large pot. Add chopped ingredients cooking until the onions start to become translucent. Add the chicken broth and chicken. Stir in the cumin and white pepper. Add the drained great northern beans. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Mix the flour with 1/2 cup cold water stirring to remove all lumps. Slowly add to the simmering soup. This will thicken the chili. Serve with a tsp. of shredded cheddar cheese and a tsp of low fat sour cream.
