Grandma's Beef Stroganoff

Introduction

A tomato based stroganoff... yumm. A tomato based stroganoff... yumm.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 lb round steak
    1 can tomato soup
    1 cup lite sour cream
    6 drops tobasco sauce
    salt and pepper
    8 oz uncooked pasta
    cheddar cheese
    chopped onions
    worchesteshire sauce


Directions

Cube the beef, chop the onions. Fry the beef and onions together until the beef is seared.

Allow to cool slightly.

Mix soup, 1 tbsp worchestershire sauce, tobasco, salt and pepper, sour cream in a crock pot. When your meat has cooled, add it to the sauce and mix well. Simmer on low for three to four hours.

Optional: canned mushrooms can be added to the sauce... my husband doesn't like so I didn't put it in my calorie count.

Cook your pasta. Serve meat sauce over pasta and sprinkle with shredded cheddar.

Makes 6 big servings or 8 smaller servings (approx 1/2 cup sauce).
