Beefy Tomato Pasta Soup

Introduction

This is a tasty and quick dinner. I have taken this as a "blessing meal" to new moms and their families and every time I have been asked for the recipe. This is a tasty and quick dinner. I have taken this as a "blessing meal" to new moms and their families and every time I have been asked for the recipe.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef, extra lean
    2 Ggeen peppers, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    8 cups water
    1 32 ounce can stewed tomatoes
    1 6 ounce can tomato paste
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp salt
    3 tsp brown sugar
    3 cloves garlic
    3 tsp Italian seasoning
    2 cups whole wheat macaroni (or pasta of your choice)

Directions

In a large soup pot, cook the beef, peppers, onion, garlic over med. heat till done, drain. Add the water, tomato paste, tomatoes, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, & pepper. Bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 10-15 minutes, till pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.

Yield 12 1-cup servings
