Introduction

A pasta casserole dish with a Spanish flavor A pasta casserole dish with a Spanish flavor
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pound lean ground turkey
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 - 28 oz can diced tomatoes
    2 cups uncooked whole wheat (rotini) pasta
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

1. Cook beef in skillet til no longer pink
2. Drain fat if necessary
3. Add onions and cook until onions are tender
4. Add other ingredients and bring to boil
5. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25-30 minutes untill pasta is tender
Serves 6

    I only get 396 calories. What did I do wrong? On the calculation end I put 16 oz (2 cups) whole wheat pasta. Thanks for your tip, Wilma
    PS I will also check my other recipes.
