Chicken Chili - Take Two

Introduction

This take is a bit more 'from scratch' and I didn't actually measure this closely. Play it by ear! They system won't take dry beans, so use 1/2 cup of each with 2 cups water each to make 2 cups beans. This take is a bit more 'from scratch' and I didn't actually measure this closely. Ingredients

    1/2 cup dry Pinto Beans
    1/2 cup dry White/Navy Beans
    4 cups water
    1 Tsp Olive Oil
    150g Onion
    100g fresh Ancho Chili
    300g Chicken
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1/3 cup chili powder
    2 28oz cans Diced Tomatoes

Directions

Rinse and sort beans (Note, this is 1/2 cup DRY for each type of beans). Add water and boil for 2 minutes. Cover and remove from heat, let sit an hour. Add garlic powder and chili powder, bring to a boil, then drop to a simmer.

Makes about 12 servings.
