Introduction

A quick and easy recipe that's family friendly! You can substitute turkey for the beef to decrease the fat. A quick and easy recipe that's family friendly! You can substitute turkey for the beef to decrease the fat.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    medium red bell pepper, chopped fine
    medium onion, chopped fine
    1 pound extra lean ground beef
    15 ounce can diced tomatoes (no salt added)
    15 ounce can tomato sauce (no salt added)
    Garlic salt to taste

Directions

Spray large skillet with cooking spray. Cook pepper, onion and beef until meat is browned.

Drain and rinse. (Rinse skillet as well)

Return meat mixture to skillet and add tomatoes, sauce, and garlic salt. Mix well.

Simmer 15 minutes. Serve over rice.
