Junky's Unstuffed Cabbage Cassarole

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Cabbage, fresh, 6 cup, shredded
    Carrots, raw, 2 cup, shredded
    Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 20 oz
    Onions, raw, 1 large
    White Rice, long grain, 1.25 cup
    1 Jar Tomato Sauce (like Ragu or Prego, 2.5 cup
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
    Basil, 1 tsp
    Water, tap, 1 cup

Directions

Put 3 cups of the cabbage and 1 cup of carrots in crock pot. Crumble cooked ground turkey on top. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on it. Top turkey with chopped onion and rice. Add the remaining cabbage and carrots. Mix a jar of spaghetti sauce with 1 cup of water. Add basil. Poor over cabbage. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours.
