Kerry's Beef Stew

Introduction

It's starting to get chilly out, and I wanted to curl up under a blanket and eat stew! Here's a recipe I just threw together. It's starting to get chilly out, and I wanted to curl up under a blanket and eat stew! Here's a recipe I just threw together.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Beef chuck, arm pot roast, 1.75 lb, cubed
    Extra Light Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Garlic, 1 Tbsp.
    Potato, raw, 5 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) cut into bite size pieces
    Soup, bouillon cubes and granules, low sodium, dry, 3 cubes
    Salt, 1 tbsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Onion powder, 1 tbsp
    Flour, white, 0.3 cup
    4 cups of hot water

Directions

Dissolve 3 bullion cubes in 4 cups of hot water. Meanwhile, cut carrots, onions and potatoes into bite size pieces. Rinse cubed beef off in water and then coat in flour and sprinkle with onion powder. Heat olive oil in pan and brown the beef on all sides, but do not cook all the way through. Layer veggies, garlic and beef in crock pot and add water mixture. Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours. Makes approximately 8 servings.
