Bird's Custard w/ Tapioca

Introduction

2 1/4 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup splenda
4 tsp sugar
1 egg, well beaten
3 Tbs minute tapioca
4 tsp Bird's custard powder
pinch of salt
2 1/4 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup splenda
4 tsp sugar
1 egg, well beaten
3 Tbs minute tapioca
4 tsp Bird's custard powder
pinch of salt

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 1/4 cup 1% milk
    1/2 cup water
    1/4 cup splenda
    4 tsp sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    3 Tbs minute tapioca
    4 tsp Bird's custard powder
    1 tsp vanilla
    scant pinch of salt

Directions

1. Mix milk, water, tapioca, sugar, splenda and beaten egg into saucepan. Let sit for 5 minutes.

2. Add salt and Bird's custard powder.

3.. Over medium heat, stirring constantly, bring the mixture to a boil. Just before you turn heat off, add vanilla and stir.

4. Let cool for 20 minutes, then transfer to 6 heat proof custard bowls and put in fridge to chill. For creamier pudding, put plastic wrap on surface of pudding while cooling.
