Grandma's Spanish Noodles

Introduction

Old-fashioned comfort food that warms you from the inisde out. Old-fashioned comfort food that warms you from the inisde out.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1-1/2 lbs. extra-lean ground beef
    1 small onion, diced
    15-oz. can of tomato sauce
    15 oz. water
    2 Tbs. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2-1/2 cups enriched kluski noodles

Directions

1) Cook kluski noodles according to package directions.
2) Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, and chili powder.
3) Along with onions, cook ground beef mixture in a large skillet or dutch oven, until ground beef is browned and onions are translucent. Drain.
4) Drain kluski noodles and add to skillet.
5) Add tomato sauce and water to mixture in skillet. Blend well, using cooking spoon.
6) Cook over medium heat about five minutes or until liquid is slightly reduced.

Makes 6 servings of slightly more than 1 cup each.
