One of THE best crock pot recipes I've tried yet! Sweet meets savory and for not too many calories. Thanks so much! As a side note, I used a ~2lb roast instead of chops. Also, I left the skins on the apples - it was faster. - 10/21/08

Thank you; I'm glad you liked it. I'll have to try it with the roast. I'm making it again next week except I'm thinking about doing cranberries and peaches instead of the apples and cherries.

The recipe is good but the portions and nutrition information are off. Only 3 oz of pork for the whole recipe is not accurate. It should be 3 oz per pork chop added. For a total of 18 oz of pork. The recipe is good but don't rely on putting it in your food tracker. - 12/19/11

Used 2 pork chops & 3 chicken breasts. My husband ate it up & begged to eat the portions saved as leftovers for a busy night mid-week. He had no idea this was a "healthy" recipe... even got a serving of fruit & vegetables in him without complaint! - 9/27/11

Very tasty and super easy to make, but the calories are way off. I got around 370 per serving by my calculation. I used the dried cranberries as the title suggests. Also may try with a roast next time as my pork chops fell apart due to the slow cooking. - 2/24/09

Made this for my family and they loved it! It was so quick and easy to make too. I did use some extra pork and I added some stuffing because with serving 6 boys/adults I was afraid it wouldn't be enough. It all turned out great! We will definitely be making this again. - 9/23/10

LOVED IT! Used pork loin, left out the cranberries, added mushrooms and sweet potato, reduced broth to 3/4 cup. Lots of ways to use this as a base recipe - will try with turkey breast or chicken next time. - 1/20/13

dont know what happened.. smelled great cooking but the dressing came out way to moist, one reviewer described is as a soupy mess, (my thoughts as well) I ate a couple chops and threw the rest out, family wanted nothing to do with it.. - 2/15/12

My eight year old and I both liked this. She is not a real stuffing fan, but she ate this. The pork chops were tender, and my stuffing was neither too dry or too mushy. Super easy to make, I will definitely be making it again! - 9/29/10

My family DEVOURED this dish. My kids are always hesitant to try new things but their plates were empty before I barely got started with my own meal. My husband ranted and raved and wants it again this week. It's certainly a keeper!! Thanks for posting!! - 1/2/10

I'm confused - the recipe name says cranberry but the recipe calls for dried cherries? I wondered if that was a typo and should be dried cranberries? I know they taste pretty similar so I'm guessing they are interchangeable? I made this and it was ok; we're more of a plain stuffing type family. - 1/4/09

  • I wanted to like this, and followed the recipe exactly, but like others mentioned, it was a goopy, drippy mess. Not sure how to salvage, but cannot serve as is. - 2/1/14

  • Turned out very well, though I would recommend not leaving it much past the 7 hour mark, pork got a little dry. Was a little confused about the liquid portion, recipe said to add more water if needed, but I didn't really know what that meant, and stuffing did turn out very soggy. Was still good! - 1/23/14

  • Great recipe for a Sunday! If you're Sunday is packed full this is the perfect thing to come home to. 10 out of 10 for my Family. The only thing I did different was use Craisins- Cherry infused cranberries. - 1/16/13

  • This was really good. I didn't have a tart apple so I used what we had and I didn't have the cranberries/cherries but it still turned out good. Will try it with the right ingredients next time. - 9/13/12

Trying this out tonight. I am not a huge pork fan but will try it once and see how the family likes it. I love the fact that is has the veggies and fruits in it also. :) Will review later as far as taste goes but it was easy to put together and will be great on busy work nights. - 11/17/11

  • This recipe is phenomenal. I used cherries, (husband doesn't like cranberries), and since I was short on time cooked it on the HIGH setting for 3 hours. It still turned out perfect. I don't usually like pork, but this recipe is now a part of my weekly rotation and I can't wait to share it. - 4/14/11

  • I've made this twice now and both times I used dried cranberries (which I love). I didn't care for the apples, though. The second time I left out the apples and used chicken breast...just as good! Thanks for the recipe! - 1/17/11

  • Made this the other night... It tasted amazing, and the pork wasnt dry and pulled apart perfectly... but I used a whole small can of college inn chicken broth, and only 4 pieces of pork, so maybe I cooked it too long. the stuffing was a mushy mess! - 10/4/10

  • I don't know what happened, I followed the recipe exactly. But this was terrible. It was a giant pile of mush. Everything dissolved. There were no pork chops or apples left. It was a soupy mess. - 8/9/10

  • I was worried that the stuffing being soggy would turn off the family, but it was one of the few meals I have made where we had no leftovers! Will definitely make this a regular in our meal schedule. - 6/15/10

  • Easy, tasty and the family (especially the hubby) loved it! I agree that I think there is a mistake in the calorie count (I see that it's .5 oz instead of 5oz) but it was tasty! Thanks for sharing. - 3/31/10

  • Because I knew I was going to have this in my slow cooker for at least 8 hours, I added additional chicken broth, but I went a bit overboard. The flavors were good & my husband loved the dish, but the consistency of the dressing was way too mushy for me - my own fault, however! - 3/17/10

My 12 year old & I really liked this recipe. However, I think there was just too much flavor my husband and 10 year old. Trying it again tonight without the apples & cranberries. - 2/4/10

  • Delicious! I made it last night for my husband and I and it was great. I also used cranberries and added a bit more chicken broth whenever I stirred because the stuffing seemed kinda dry. - 1/24/10

  • Delicious flavor, but dry. It could be my slow cooker which does not seem to have a "low" setting, but please clarify for me. Does your recipe call for using the dry stuffing mix or do you add water/broth? Again, excellent flavor but next time I will add some broth. - 10/1/09

  • This recipe is good but wouldn't be my favorite. It is a little too rich in taste. An alternative would be to make less stuffing and serve it with rice and a vegetable. The sweet tasting stuffing is good but too much when served on it's own. - 9/15/09
