Browned Beef in Beer

Introduction

Tender beef great over brown rice, long grain and wild rice, or whole wheat noodles.

Ingredients

    1 lb lean stew meat
    1 Tbsp butter
    1 tsp basil
    1 12 oz can or bottle beer
    1 package brown gravy mix (dry)
    Pepper to taste

Directions

Brown stew meat in butter. Once browned on all sides add beer and basil. Do Not Salt!
Simmer for a minimum of one hour but up to two. Whisk in gravy mix and simmer another fix minutes.
