Dianna's Stuffed Shrimp

Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb. peeled shrimp, butterflied
    3/4 lb. real or imitation crab meat (rinse imitation with cold water)
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1&1/2 stalks celery, chopped fine
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    1/4 medium green pepper, chopped fine
    3 toes garlic, crushed
    1/2 stick butter
    2-1/2 pieces of bayleaf
    1 cup italian bread crumbs
    1/4 cup grated parmesean cheese
    3/4 cup white wine

Directions

Saute celery, onions, green pepper and garlic in butter until clear. Add crab meat, bayleaf and pepper and saute for another 5 min. Drain and save all liquid from pan. Away from heat, mix cheese and bread crumbs to crab meat mixture. In a shallow casserole dish, spread out shrimp and spread crab meat mixture over shrimp. Pour butter & white wine over crab meat mixture. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for about 15 min. or until shrimp are pink. Uncover and broil for 5 min. until top gets toasty.
