Black Eyed Chili

Introduction

I was searching recipes for black eyed peas and came up with this combination that I didn't see anywhere else. I was searching recipes for black eyed peas and came up with this combination that I didn't see anywhere else.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    15.8 oz can black eyed peas
    8 oz can tomato sauce
    1/3 cup chopped onion (1/2 small onion)
    1 tablespoon olive oil (or margarine)
    4 cloves garlic minced
    1/4 teaspoon cumin
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 tablespoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon marjoram

Directions

In a sauce heat olive oil and lightly saute onion until translucent. Add in minced garlic and heat for 1 minute to lightly cook garlic. Add in the rest of the ingredients and bring to a simmer stirring often for 15 to 20 minutes for the flavors to blend. Serve with rice or crushed saltines.
