2/3 cup warm water
2 cups flour ( 1 white, 1 bread )
3/4 tsp olive oil
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 packet yeast (1 1/4 tsp)
Set bread machine to dough setting. When machine has finished, remove dough and shape into loaf on pan you will bake bread on. Cover with a warm, damp cloth, and allow to rise for at least 40 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Slice gently diagonally across bread about 1" deep. Combine egg and water and brush across top of bread (you do not need to use the entire bowl.)
Bake in preheated 375 degree overn 30-35 minutes.
