Introduction

I have changed this from the Quaker recipe to make it a little more healthy. If you choose to use Splenda, you could reduce calories and carbs further. Ingredients

    *Margarine, soft, 1 cup
    Granulated Sugar, .5 cup
    Brown Sugar, .5 cup, packed
    Egg, fresh, 2 large
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
    *Flour, white, .75 cup
    *Whole Wheat Flour, 0.5 cup
    Baking Soda, 1 tsp
    Salt, .5 tsp
*Quaker Oats - Quick 1 Minute - Dry, 3 cup
    Nestle's Butterscotch Chips (11oz bag), 22 tbsp

Directions

Preheat over to 375 degrees.
Beat margarine and sugars in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
In a small bowl combine the flours, baking soda and salt. Add this mixture a little at a time and mix well. Add oats and morsels; mix well.
Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 7 to 8 minutes for a chewy cookie or 9 to 10 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes: remove to wire racks to cool completely. Store tightly covered.
