Stuffed Green Peppers

Introduction

I've substitued turkey for ground beef and used brown rice for a healthier recipe. I've substitued turkey for ground beef and used brown rice for a healthier recipe.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    6 Large Green Peppers
    5 C Boiling Water
    1 Lb Lean Ground Turkey
    2 T Chopped Onions
    1/8 t Garlic Salt
    1 t Salt
    1 C Cooked Brown Rice
    1 15 oz can Crushed Tomatoes

Directions

Cut top off of green peppers and remove membranes. Cook in boiling salt water for 5 minutes.
Cook and stir ground turkey and onion. Drain. Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and 1 C crushed tomatoes. Heat through. Stuff each pepper lightly and put in ungreased dish. Pour leftover tomatoes over top. Cover, bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
