15 calorie microwaver savor

Introduction

Spices and salt used to be more valuable than gold -- and we can treat them like that in our dietary caravansary. Spices and salt used to be more valuable than gold -- and we can treat them like that in our dietary caravansary.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 tsp sesame oil
    1/2 tsp curry powder
    1/2 tsp garlic
    1/2 tsp ginger
2 oz seltzer or club soda

Directions

This ultra light sauce makes your dash to the microwave both tasty and tender. I like to swirl the ingredients together and pour it over four pieces of (skinned) chicken. I generally take 2 glass bowls, placing one loosely over the food (it looks like a robust flying saucer) and microwave everything for 6-8 minutes on high.

Result, tender, poached, savory anything. You can increase the ingredients (except for the sesame oil) with abandon -- there's never a calorie increase. And you can use this on anything -- I like chicken, but sliced carrots steam nicely in 90 seconds or less (just pour off excess liquid -- and this makes a nice flavor addition for anything from lean cube stake to canned tuna.)

Microwave doesn't have to be tough and bland.
