Potato corn chowder

Introduction

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Water, tap, 8 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    10 med. Potatoes
    1 Onions, raw, 1 medium diced
    Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced
    Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned, 1 can (12 oz) Bacon, 3 slices, cooked and crumbled
    Salt, 1 tbsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Chicken Bouillon, 1 tsp
    Fat free half and half, 2.5 cup
    Flour, white, .10 cup
    Butter, salted, 1 tbsp

Directions

In a sauce pan, take 1 T. Butter, melt on medium, and once melted slowly add flour to make a paster, then add .5 cup half and half, and whisk to a cream. set aside. In large pot, put 8 cups of water, bouillon, salt and pepper and all potatoes diced. Bring to a boil, then add onion, celery and half and half. While that comes to a boil, take 3 strips of bacon, chop finely, and cook thoroughly. Set aside to cool. Add corn with fluids, stir and add the rue ( flour, butter and half and half). Let simmer on the m on medium for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally, it will thicken while simmering. Makes 10 1 cup servings..
