    1# BEEF FOR STEW MEAT
    2 CANS STEWED TOMATOES
    2 MEDIUM ONIONS CHOPPED
    1 1/2 CUPS SLICED CARROTS
    4 STALKS CELERY CHOPPED ON BIAS
    4 RUSSET POTATOES CHOPPED IN CUBES
    1 CAN WHOLE KERNEL CORN
    VEGETABLE SOUP MIX

Directions

SERVES 12

PREPARE ALL VEGETABLES AND BROWN STEW MEAT IN SAUCE PAN WITH 1 TEASPOON OIL, PLACE ALL INGREDIENTS IN SAUCE PAN OR CROCK POT ADD SOUP MIX WITH 1 CUP WATER. IF COOKING ON STOVE TOP BRING TO BOIL THEN REDUCE HEAT TO SIMMER UNTIL TENDER. IF USING A CROCK POT PLACE ALL INGREDIENTS IN POT AND TURN ON HIGH FOR FIRST HOUR THEN TO LOW AND COOK FOR 6 TO 8 HOURS. SERVE WITH SALTINES OR CRUSTY BREAD.
