Fennel Pork Chops with Pears for slow cooker

Introduction

Adapted from this recipe by PURPLE_PHYS http://recipes.sparkpeople.com

My slow cooker really gets hot so I felt I needed to add some sort of liquid to keep it from sorching. I choose Apple Cider to further flavor the porkchops; Ginger Ale might work...?

We also tend to eat pork chops instead of pork roast. If you need a lower calorie per serving, take out the potatoes when you serve yourself. Potatoes are high in calories.
