Introduction

A great way to have piping hot cereal ready first thing in the morning. A great way to have piping hot cereal ready first thing in the morning.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 cups rolled oats
    4 cups water
    1 apple, chopped
    1 tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

Combine ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low overnight. Sweeten with sugar or sugar substitute if needed.

  • Does a particular kind of apple work better for flavor? Thought this was pretty bland and had to add some brown sugar to add a bit of flavor. Maybe will try raisins if I try it again. The ease of making it was definitely a plus! - 2/22/13

  • awsome!! My hubby has high cholesterol and was told to include oatmeal in his diet, this is great! He goes to work 2 hours before I get up in the morning so he can have a healthy hot breakfast too! Tastes great too! - 10/27/08
