4 egg whites, beaten
1/2 sugar or sugar substitute
1 cup apple sauce
2 tsp vanilla or other extract
2 3/4 cup cake flour
1 tbs baking powder
3/4 cup fat free milk
1 pkg fat free sugar free vanilla pudding mix
1 1/4 cup fat free milk
1 cup sugar or sugar substitute
2 TBS corn starch
2 TBS cocoa
Prepare 2 8" round cake pans by spraying with cooking spray and dusting with flour. Pour 1/2 of batter into each pan and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Let cool slightly in pans and then turn out to cooling racks until completeloy cooled.
Wisk together pudding mix and milk. Spread on top of one cooled cake layer and top with second layer.
Combine sugar and corn starch in blender and grind until powdery. Add cocoa. Moisten with small amount of water (1 tbs at a time) until desired consistancy. Spread over top of cake.
