cover 2 legs, 1/2 Breast, 2 thighs with water bring to a boil add 1 onion and 2 stalks of celery chopped add 2 table spoons parsley cook until chicken is done. Make sure to keep adding water so chicken is covered. Take chicken out on plate to cool. peel and dice 3 medium potatoes add to broth and let boil until done. Add 1 can peas and 1 can cut carrots. de-skin and de-bone chicken and cut up chicken add back to stew. I use a whisk to make my 1 1/2 cup water and 1 cup of flour add to stew to thicken. I also make dumplings with this and then that will thicken it. depends on what I want. with left overs I will make biscuits and serve the chicken stew over them or make a pot pie.
