Introduction

These are delicious, moist muffins with a touch of molasses flavor! These are delicious, moist muffins with a touch of molasses flavor!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
    1 c corn meal
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt

    1 1/2 c 1% milk
    1/2 c applesauce
    1 large egg
    4 TBS molasses
    3 TBS sugar
    2 TBS melted butter

Directions

Pre heat oven to 375. lightly spray 12 muffin cups with no stick spray.
mix together dry ingredients in large bowl.
mix together remaining ingredients in separate bowl and mix well.
add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just blended. Do not over mix.
divide batter evenly between 12 muffin cups and bake for about 20 minutes. Remove from muffin tin and cool muffins on wire rack before eating.
