Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Introduction

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cans tomatoe puree
    1 meduim onion minced
    6 clove garlic minced about 2 tblsp
    1 tsp olive oil
    2 tblsp tomatoe paste
    2 tblsp dried basil
    1/2-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tsp sugar
    1 cup chicken broth
    1 lb ground beef 93/7

Directions

Heat large pot add oil and onion and salt cover and cook on meduim low heat about 8 minutes

remove lid push mixture aside in hot spot add garlic and pepper flakes saute 2 minutes push aside add tomato paste and saute 2 minutes and then combine all in pot continue cooking few minutes add ground beef and cook until no longer pink but not brown add rest of ingredients cover and simmer low heat stirring occasionally about 40 minutes uncover and continue simmering 15 minutes or so until thickened should measure around 6 cups
