Introduction

There are never enough. These are decadent and I really was only putting them in so that I knew whether or not I had to stay away or what I had to skip to eat one. There are never enough. These are decadent and I really was only putting them in so that I knew whether or not I had to stay away or what I had to skip to eat one.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    2 C. warm water
    2 Tbsp. yeast
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    1 egg
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 1/2 - 4 c. flour
    butter

Directions

Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar salt and 3 c. flour. Beat 2 min. Add egg and shortening. Beat until smooth. Add 3 1/2 -4 c. shortening. Grease top adn cover with damp cloth. let raise until double or refrigerate, then shape 1 1/2 -2 hours before baking in greased pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 min.
