Turkey Spinach Burgers

Submitted by: BETHPROVERBS31

Introduction

Wanted something different from plain turkey burgers, so I threw this recipe together with ingredients I had in the house and they turned out great! My husband loved them, and my daughter, who usually balks at anything with a lot of spinach in them, actually liked these! Ingredients

    1 pound raw ground turkey
1 can (13.5 oz) spinach, squeezed dry
    1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, finely diced (or use a garlic press)
3 tsp McCormick's Grill Mates 25 % Less Sodium Montreal Chicken Seasoning
1/2 cup shredded part-skim Mozzarella Cheese
2 tbsp 100% extra virgin olive oil

Directions

Mix all ingredients together except olive oil. Mix well to incorporate and shape into 4 patties. Heat extra virgin olive oil in skillet for about 2 minutes. Add patties. Cook for about 30 minutes, turning frequently to avoid burning. You may add a small amount of water to pan if needed after burgers brown to facilitate cooking and avoid charring of burgers. Makes four (4) 1/4 pound burgers. Eat alone with favorite condiment or serve on toasted onion bun (not included with nutritional value).
