Apple Crisp

Introduction

My favorite fall dessert. The Topping is easy to make (see recipe titled "crisp topping") and keep in the freezer, prepare the apple and top with crip topping, pop in the oven and your done! (Be sure to add the salt, it makes all the flavors pop!) My favorite fall dessert. Ingredients

    1 Large Apple, diced
    1 T packed brown sugar
    1/2 T butter
    1/4 cup "Crisp Topping"
    cinnamon, to taste
    salt, to taste

Directions

Makes 1 serving

Pre-heat oven to 350*

Dice one large apple and toss with the brown sugar, melt butter in a small skillet over med-high heat, add the apples and saute until just a little tender and the sugar and butter have made a caramel. Add a pinch of salt and of cinnamon to taste.

Place apples in a small oven-proof dish and top with a 1/4 cup of crisp topping. Bake at 350* until topping is brown and crisp - about 20 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before eating
