Green Chicken Tamales

Ingredients

    * Tomatillos, 20 medium
    * Chicken Breast, no skin, 1 breast, bone and skin removed
    * Dried Corn Husks
    * Jalapeno Peppers, 2 pepper
    * Garlic, 2 cloves
    * Onions, raw, 2 cup, chopped (
    * Maseca for Tamales, 150 gram(s)
    * *Lard, .66 cup
    * Chicken Broth, 2 cup (8 fl oz)

Directions

Boil Split Chicken Breast until tender about an hour (you can put frozen in crock pot for 4-6 hours on high) reserve broth

Make Green Salsa (blend Tomatillos, garlic, onion, jalapenos and add salt to taste)

Add shredded chicken breast to a pot and add green salsa, season to taste (I use Goya chicken bullion and salt)

Soak Corn husks overnight or at least 45 minutes

Prepare Tamale Dough according to package directions (I buy Maseca Brand Corn Masa Mix for Tamales) Use the reserved Chicken broth to make this, and use real Pork Lard (I buy Goya brand)

Spread about 2 tbs dough on Corn husks, add
about 1 tbs of filling fold husk inwards and flip ends up. (for a visual go to you tube, and type tamale tutorial and there's many!)

In a large steamer put tamales upright and put a damp cloth on top and cover. Steam for about 2 1/2 hours. Send me a message if you need help making this!! Enjoy!!
