Introduction

While looking for a low carb alternative for ketchup, I ran across several recipes, but could not find one I liked so I played with ingredients until I figured this one out... While looking for a low carb alternative for ketchup, I ran across several recipes, but could not find one I liked so I played with ingredients until I figured this one out...
Number of Servings: 100

Ingredients

    2 cups water
    6 tbsp raw sugar
    ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
    6 oz tomato paste
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp garlic powder
    4 tsp Morton Lite Salt

Directions

---In a small sauce pan bring water to a low boil and remove from heat. Slowly add in raw sugar while stirring constantly to dissolve.
---In a medium sauce pan place tomato sauce and stir until smooth. Slowly add liquid mixture of water, vinegar and sugar, continuing to stir until smooth.
---Place over low heat, add all other ingredients and bring to simmer while stirring. Refrigerate after cooling.
---Makes about 100-1 tablespoon servings.
