Yummy Chicken Noodle Soup

Introduction

The nutritional guide for this includes 8 oz of noodles but you can add more or less. I acutally use the broth that I cook the chicken in with the fat skimmed off. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    6 Chicken breast
    1 cans low fat Cream of Chicken soup
    1 cup sliced carrots
    1 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup sliced celery
    5 cups of can broth or the broth used for cooking the chicken
    8 to 16 oz wide egg noodles
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Boil chicken and cut or pull into bite size . Put chicken, and all ingredients except for noodles in large pot. Bring to boil then turn to low for desired time. This can cook just until ingredients are done or for the entire day if you like. 15 to 20 minutes before meal time return to boil and add noodles. For color may sprinkle with parsley. You may add more or less broth or water to fit your desired thickness.

  • mmmmmm....i have to cook this when no one is home...no one will eat chicken noodle soup. i use the celery leaves for more taste and use low fat milk instead of chicken soup. - 11/7/08
