Somewhat sticky and sweet, but still retaining some crunch! :D This, my first attempt at a protein bar, includes the decadent touches of dried cranberries and dark chocolate. Ingredients
-
1 cup Rolled Oats
1/2 cup Steel Cut Oats
1 cup Kashi GoLEAN Crunch
2 oz Dry Roasted Soy nuts (unsalted)
3 scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
4 Tbsp Milled Flax Seed
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp Naturally More PB (Or other natural PB)
2 tbsp Cashew Butter (Or more PB, or other nut butter)
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 oz dark chocolate, chopped up (I used Dagobah Organic Chocolate, Conacado 73%)
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients. (except chocolate and cranberris)
Mix all wet ingredients.
Then slowly incorporate wet into dry until well mixed. Then add cranberries and chocolate.
Have ready a 9x13 glass baking dish misted with cooking spray.
Spread the mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish -- a rubber spatula also misted with spray is very handy at this job!
Then press waxed paper over the top and freeze or refrigerate until hardened.
Cut into desired number of servings -- Nutrition Facts accounts for 15 bars.
Number of Servings: 15

:D IT TASTES SO GOOD, girl!!! :D Hahaha. I actually think it could use less wet ingredients, maybe half the honey and water, or you could try it with just the honey and no nut butters I guess. I'm going to play with those measurements next time, but while the texture is slightly softer and stickie
