Gina's Homemade Vegetable Beef Barley Soup

Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    4 cups Water
    6 cloves of Garlic (we like a lot)
    1 lb lean ground beef (cook and remove all fat)
    10 oz. bag frozen vegetable soup mix
    1/4 cup uncooked barley
    1 large can whole canned tomatoes
    Salt & Pepper - to taste

Directions

Cook ground beef and remove all excess fat
In a large soup pan combine all ingredients and bring to a hard boil for 5 minutes. Add ground beef and cook for approximately 15 - 20 minutes longer. Turn off heat and let sit until ready to serve.
