Ingredients

    1.5 cups chickpeas
    1 pck frozen spinach, thawed
    3 cloves garlic
    1 Tbsp olive oil
    1 heaping Tbsp tahini (1.2)
    1 fl oz lemon juice
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Blend in food processor until smooth. 1 serving is 1 Tbsp; recipe makes almost 3 cups.

  • Made this recipe last night but used 1/3 cup lemon, 4 cloves garlic and added 1 tsp. cumun and a dash of cayene pepper. I eliminated the oil & cooked chick peas in microwave slightly before using in the food processor, (that gives a smoother texture in the end)..Yummy - 6/14/10

  • Easy and good, though I added lots more garlic and used three lemons that had gotten somewhat shriveled and hard and were on the verge of being thrown out. - 3/13/09
